Summer 2026
Primo Piccolo Wine Allocation
Thank you for being our Wine Club Member at D’Argenzio Winery!
It's time to bring home and uncork your summer wine allocation, which includes the D’Argenzio family’s current favorites. If you haven’t heard, we were recently awarded a Double Gold Medal for our 2023 Super Tuscan Red Blend, and both a Platinum and a Gold Medal for our 2023 Anthesis Pinot Noir, both included in your allocation. Along with our 2021 Montepulciano, which is a bit heavier, but very velvety and ready to enjoy! (We did not enter this wine into a competition due to only making 3 barrels of it!) We hope you enjoy them as much as us! We are excited to be allocating these three elegant, versatile red wines to you this quarter. As always, if you prefer to swap them out for different wines, you’re more than welcome to do so.
We welcome you to visit for complimentary wine tastings, and select your favorite wines to be included in your fully customizable summer wine club allocation:

Primo Piccolo
$156.75
2023 Anthesis Pinot Noir
Marcucci Vineyard, Russian River Valley
100 Cases Produced (4 Barrels)
$52.25 per bottle
This Platinum and Gold Medal (90 points) Award Winning Pinot Noir (from two separate competitions), is a traditional Italian style Pinot that does not disappoint. With cranberry sauce, cola, and cherry syrup, the whole cluster fermentation lends herbaceous hints of tar. Supple in the mouth, the palate is heavier upfront with hints of cedar, transitioning into a bright strawberry finish with plenty of acidity and gentle character that supports this delicate pinot. Its clean finish will leave you longing for another sip. The 2023 vintage overall had late bud break with winter and spring rains. Due to this later start, the fruit hung longer on the vine, causing longer hang time and further physiological ripening. Moderate weather overall, with spikes of high heat that were quickly recovered by cooling temperatures and fog. Pair with oysters, seafood, fatty white fish, lamb, chicken, goat, and pork.
2023 Super Tuscan Red Blend
Russian River Valley, Sonoma County
100 Cases Produced (4 Barrels)
$45.60 per bottle
This Double Gold Award-Winning Wine (97 points), from 2026 Sunset International Wine Competition, has a very complex bouquet. With coffee and caramel, the blend of 70% Sangiovese, 25% Primitivo, and 5% Montepulciano is all wrapped in a bouquet of black fruit and a slight reminiscence of bell pepper, jalapeño, and smoked fig intertwine with hints of bay leaves and black currants. On the palate, it is inundated with organic acid and a great supportive tannic structure, with richness of wild berries lingering with a leather finishing forcing you come back for another sip. The 2023 vintage overall had late bud break with winter and spring rains. Due to this later start, the fruit hung longer on the vine, causing longer hang time and further physiological ripening. Moderate weather overall, with spikes of high heat that were quickly recovered by cooling temperatures and fog. Pair with pasta bolognese, red sauces, veal ossobuco, pasta fagioli, and braised or stewed dishes.
2021 Montepulciano
Graziano Vineyard, Sonoma Valley
80 Cases Produced (3 Barrels)
$58.90 per bottle
These Italian Montepulciano grapes were crushed using a traditional foot stomp method, followed by a 14 day long open-top fermentation and aged for 18 months in 100% brand new French Oak barrels. This wine is elegant and structured with a profound dark berry and beautiful hints of floral aroma, complemented by an earthy essence, leather, and oak dust. On the palate, medium to heavy body carried by the presence of dark berry compote and chocolate. It carries a substantial weight with enduring, rounded tannins and acidity. Pair with filet mignon, Pecorino cheese, and lamb shank.
